Our business member profile today is Bullock Mountain Homestead. ⠀ ⠀ Bullock Mountain Homestead is a 1200 acre property of natural bushland with 2km's of Reddestone Creek and 6 km's of the Beardy River at the boundary. Creek and river campsites/van sites are available, as well as a guesthouse with double and family rooms. The property was mined for sapphires along the Reddestone Creek for many years and remnants of the old mine can still be seen. Most of the property is rugged bushland with cleared areas along the river for camping and fishing. Over 50 species of birds have been identified and wildlife is prolific.⠀ ⠀ The property is particularly suited for families, with cleared areas around the homestead for kids to run around, ride their bikes and generally have a great time. They usually love to go yabbying in the dams and creek and try their hand at finding a sapphire.⠀ ⠀ For people with a 4WD there are tracks over to the river and around the property. There are a number of deep waterholes suitable for fishing and swimming or just having a picnic in a beautiful spot. The property becomes a blaze of yellow during early spring with wattle flowering profusely, followed by the pristine white of the ti tree.⠀ ⠀ There are many deer on the property and during mating season (around March) you can hear them call and fight. Even from the homestead and guesthouse, you will see deer and wallabies grazing in the late afternoon and early mornings. There are binoculars available for people staying in the guesthouse.⠀ ⠀ Visit Bullock Mountain Homestead and see what country hospitality is all about!⠀ ⠀ Phone: 02 6732 1599⠀ Website: https://buff.ly/2Rw85Pq⠀ ⠀ Proud member of the Glen Innes Highlands Visitor Association.

A great way to support our regional communities is to spend as much money as you can in the local area! That has a knock on effect and keeps those who are doing it hardest supported by the local community. If you are heading to Glen Innes or on the road this weekend, why not stop at Fossicker Caravan Park and fill up the tank! You will be greeted with a warm smile and a country welcome!⠀ ⠀ #buyfromthebush
