If there is anything this journey has taught me, is that balance is key. You don’t have to always have it, but you need to be able to recognize when it’s outta whack and get it back. . Although I’ve been doing great with my exercise routine (even when traveling) I have been consistently inconsistent with my food choices. Which might be fine if I’m content with where I am, but I’m not done with my weight loss. I still have some progress to make and goals to crush. . When I’m not making good food choices, my body reminds me. I feel sluggish and unhealthy. I get tired and cranky. The spark gets a lil dull. . I prepped lots of food for the week so there could be no excuses. When I started my day, I kept reminding myself that I was not going to get off track. Every time a unhealthy food option popped into my head, I had to fight the temptation. It wasn’t easy, but today was a good day. And I know that the more consistent I am, the “easier” the fight will be. Week 2: I’m still very much learning how this keto thing works, but thankfully I have friends and family encouraging me a long the way! I’m most excited that I’ve maintained NO CHEATING! Y’all! No bread or pasta or cookies or pizza (except for a keto-friendly cauliflower crust one)! And I’m not dying!! 😂 What I’m thankful for this week is the delicious stuffed jalapeños I made and enjoyed multiple times. I’m also thankful for Aldi’s keto friendly Elevation protein bars. It wasn’t a huge weight loss this week, but I’ll take what I can get. I have also been tracking my inches—as of last week I had already lost 9 inches! 🙌🏼 I’m thanking God for His direction...I’m already feeling better (less tired, foggy, moody). 2. No real fibre for the microbiota and no real fibre to build bulk in the intestines 
3. No sustained grain sugars for the brain
 4. Difficult to maintain stable insulin levels to keep cravings down and prevent weight gain 
5. Lack of antioxidants and vitamins from millets/brown rice 
6. No stress on portion control
 7. Not good for athletes who need 6 grams of carbs per pound of body weight 
8. More meat means more acidic blood
 9. Bad breath, so beware! 10. Initially, the body goes into ketosis – termed as the ‘keto flu’ ranging from fatigue, insomnia, lack of energy, to constipation; due to restricting carbs. 11.
