Yellow Crane Tower in Wuhan, Hubei Province, Central China Photo credit: @dinothequaker . Yellow Crane Tower 黄鹤楼 is a traditional Chinese tower situated on Snake Hill 蛇山, on the banks of the Yangtze River, in Wuhan. The current structure was built in 1981, but the tower has existed in various forms since A.D. 223, during the Three Kingdoms Period. The tower has been destroyed twelve times, both by warfare and by fire, in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and was repaired on ten separate occasions. The current Yellow Crane Tower is 51.4 m (169 ft) high and has five floors. The roof is covered by 100,000 yellow glazed tiles. With yellow upturned eaves, each floor seems to have been designed to resemble a yellow crane spreading its wings to fly. According to legend, Yellow Crane Tower was built by the family of an old pothouse owner living in Wuhan city long ago, named Old Xin. One day, a shabbily dressed Taoist priest came to the pothouse and asked for some wine. Old Xin paid no attention to him, but his son was very kind and gave the Taoist some wine without asking for money. The Taoist priest visited the pothouse regularly for half a year when one day the Taoist said to the son that in order to repay his kindness, he would like to draw a crane on the wall of the pothouse, which would dance at his request. When people in the city heard of this, they flocked to the pothouse to see the dancing crane. The Xin family soon became rich and they built the Yellow Crane Tower as a symbol of gratitude to the Taoist priest. Regarded as one of the Four Great Towers of China and enjoying the fame of "The First Scenery under Heaven", the Yellow Crane Tower is incredibly beautiful and its cultural significance led to its being made the symbol of Wuhan City.

📍 𝕽𝖆𝖘𝖔𝖓, 𝕹𝖔𝖗𝖙𝖍 𝕶𝖔𝖗𝖊𝖆 🇰🇵 #meikanorthkorea . . 📸 taken in a North Korean store . I don’t understand why there were so many Mainland Chinese tourists even in North Korea 😑😑😑🇰🇵 They cut in line all the time and do not have the sense of shame even if we speak up. Even North Koreans know that Mainland Chinese tourists don’t line up, it’s really shameful.🤭 . 在北韓遇到很多中國遊客 他們不停插隊😑 帶領我們的北韓官員好像習以為常🙈 連北韓人都清楚中國人不排隊的性格 真的很可悲🤭

Let's do our bit to save the planet.😎👇 . Amazon forests are burning but that's not the only reason we should try and save the planet. This heartbreaking incident brought a realization that if we have to do something, it's NOW. Here are a few things we can do to help - 1. Let's make a pact that on every special occasion (birthday, anniversaries etc) we will plant a tree. 2. We have all studied the 3 R's - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Now let's put it to practice. Switch to reusable bags, glasses, straws. 3. Travel Responsibily - As travellers let's respect the ecosystem and the wildlife. Lets not be photo hungry and encroach. Do not litter and instead help by picking a few. 4. Buy local - We travel to explore so get out there and do exactly that. Buy local souvenirs, eat the local food and do as the locals do. This will also be easy on your pockets compared to the hot tourist spots. 5. And most important - educate your family & friends. If you have some good habits that are helping the environment, spread the word and let's bring change. ______________________________________ Credits : @007maratha 👍 Follow @theexplorester for more. _____________________________________ #Explore #India #Amazon #SaveThePlanet #AmazonForest #Asia_Vacations #DigitalNomads #IndianBlogger #Blogger #Influencer #IndianTravelBlogger #IndianLifestyleBlogger #TheExplorester

The sun is back and I just can't get enough of these scenery! The entire coast is covered with beaches or at least it seems that way. 💕 * ⚠️For those who are travelling to Taiwan please be aware that swimming in the ocean around Taïwan can be very dangerous due to strong currents. Only swim in designated areas.⚠️ * * * * * * * #traveltaiwan #taiwan #taiwantravel #taiwanbeach #taiwan #taiwan_dream #taiwan_tourism #taiwanderlust #taiwanview #instataiwan #taiwantrip #travelasia #travel_asia #taiwangram #travelgirldiary #girltravel #travelgirlday #girlborntotravel #solotravelgirl #girlsborntravel #girlpowertravel #girldreamtravel #sologirltravel #femmetravel #girlpowertravel #sheisnotlost #asiatravels #asia_vacations #asiatrip #backpackingasia

• THINKING • As a photographer, it's always important for me to think about my composition. When I arrive at a famous spot, I would take a few mins to see around. Which building could I try to go up? Or which angle could I get better shoot? Or what kind of tools should I use? Or what kind of clothes should I wear? Also, I usually took a bunch of photos, because I never know when I will visit here again. That's a lot of effort, but maybe I am just considering too much. HaHa🤣 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I remembered when I arrived at Temple Street night market, my friend and I decided to go up the parking lot, but we didn't know which floor that we could take a better angle. Therefore, we literally went to each floor and check the view. That's very funny when I recalled, but that's my passion. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What's your thinking before you take photos? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🛫🌍🌎🌏🛬 Leave a comment & Tag a friend you would travel with.❤️ 🛫🌍🌎🌏🛬 #hongkong #hongkonginsta #InsideHongKong #AwesomeHongKong #DiscoverHongKong

. . . . . . . . . . . . #индия #азия #india #asia #travel #travelphotography #travelgram #traveler #travels #traveling #travelingram #traveller #photo #photography #photos #awesome #amazing #moscow #travellife #dreams #mylife #путешествие #people #summer #lovemylife #asia_vacations #india_everyday #путешествияэтожизнь #love

. . . . . . . . . . #india #hyderabad #friends #travel #traveling #travels #traveller #photo #photography #photooftheday #photographers #photographerlife #indialife #life #awesome #asia #mylife #mylove #moscow #russia #myworld #vacation #people #moscowcity #summer #индия #путешествие #photoday #asia_vacations #indianpeople
