Crystals all have different properties to help with certain aspects and issues in our lives. They work the same on our pet's. Most are very easy to source. Rose Quartz- Calms nerves, reduces stress, security and peace, pets that have previously been abused, stone of love. Agate- Assists with sleep. Amethyst- All round healer. Carnelian- Shy, nervous, helps release emotions e.g. anger, fear and envy. Clear Quartz- Master Healer. Will amplify the healing properties of any other Crystal. Dioptase- Separation anxiety. Dalmatian Jasper- Grounds and alienates fears, promotes peaceful sleep, calming. Smokey Quartz- Helps to reduce hostilities if more than one pet in the home. Lithium Quartz- Heals depression, fear, natural antidepressant. (Don't get wet as it will dissolve!) Bloodstone- Blood disorders, kidney failure Moonstone- Pregnancy and birthing. Lapis Lazuli- Throat, thyroid and vision. Amber- Calming and energising effects, allergies, digestive issues, respiratory or chronic infections. Black Tourmaline- Ultimate protector. Good for dogs in human company a lot as dogs are like sponges and absorb our energies. Selenite- Clears other Crystals of negative energies (Don't get wet as it will dissolve!) Salt Lamps- Place in the room to help combat anxiety. Disclaimer Whilst using Crystals, please monitor your pet closely. They may refuse to go to their bed if the Crystals are in the bedding or scratch their collar whilst the Crystal is attached, then the energy may well be too strong. It could also mean that the Crystal has been used for too long or too frequently. . . . . #crystalsforpets #crystalcollarsforpets #petcollars #crystalhealingforpets #chakrasystem #crystals #gems #rocks #stones #crystalsforanimals #dmforprices #healingproperties #crystalhealingforcats #shipping #amethystcrystal #amethystjewelry #cats #dogs #anxiety #stress #behaviorproblems #calm #energy #onlinecrystalshop #thecrystalbay #mia #mykid

This sweet little chicken nugget has been so in love with her baby brother since before he was born. She used to sing to my belly every night before bed so he could sleep better. They are so close. BUT, lately this baby boy has had a mean streak. He hits Amelia (and anyone else) any chance he gets. Books get thrown, hands get thrown, and everyone in his path cringes in avoidance of it. 😭😭 Mamas, have you ever experienced this and if so, how did you get your baby to stop? So far I’ve tried to tell him to give love instead of hitting and he will go give a kiss and then follow it up with a big ol slap. 🤦🏻‍♀️ send me all of the advice please!

Beautiful close up of Mango. He flew over to hang out. Hes still learning to trust us. He bites quite often and runs away A LOT. We have seen loads of improvements (like this) but it's been a long slow road where we must be patient and loving (even through the bites). Topaz is the opposite he loves snuggles and cuddles. #conureparrot #conure #instaconcour #newfeathers #featheredfriends #behavior #behaviorproblems #adoptdontshop #adoptedparrots #rehome #doyourresearch #lifetimecommitment #tonsofwork #lotsoflove #rehabbird #birdrehabbing

Yes we have to worry about sugar but I'm more scared of the chemicals. What about you? Red 40, Yellow 5 & 6 contains benzedene, which is a human carcinogen. Red 40 is linked to hyperactivity in children. Yellow 5: Hyperactivity in children. Green Dyes: Possible bladder and other cancers. Blue Dyes:  cancer causing, may cause adverse reactions to those with asthma. Possible kidney, brain & other tumors. The problem with the FDA allowing all of these is that they don't do many studies in humans. You might be like - Nicole, Why the F are you sharing some rat/mouse studies... BECAUSE THE DAMN FDA!  I have a dislike/hate relationship with them. In Europe- They've BANNED artificial dyes like this. The strawberry shakes at Mcdonalds in Great Britain has strawberries for the coloring but yet here in the U.S. they add Red 40. Fanta is colored with turmeric & carrots but yet here we use again, carcinogenic dyes. SO WHAT DO WE DO? With my family, we try to avoid dyes like the plague! We buy dye free candies and swap them out after the kids have gone trick or treating. Let them have their fun going door to door and yes, we even allow some consumption of the dyes above by letting them have some candy. However, my kids are becoming educated in what's IN their food. It's not the sugar I'm avoiding (although these cold months require a reduction in added sugars to help keep our immune systems healthy & strong) & we talk to the kids about how sugar in small amounts is ok, it just might lead to a tummy ache soon and cause other problems later if we have too much. We talked to the kids about how "foods" made in a lab need to be turned on their side & read the INGREDIENTS. The kids understood that these "fake ingredients" can cause them to not concentrate in school, can cause them to be distracting etc.. I'm a big believer in that everyone should know what they are eating & how foods from the earth are helpful. Also how foods made in a lab aren't really food. SAVE THIS POST FOR FUTURE REFERENCES! In my 📖 book LIFE WILL GET BETTER I share real stories of patients who have implemented my techniques to help improve their energy, focus, and overall physical health.⁣ ⁣ Marnie came to see me when she was in her late teens. 💅 Her parents were completely exhausted and at a loss for how to deal with her frequent emotional and behavioral breakdowns which consisted of extended episodes of yelling and verbally threatening them as well as herself. 💪 Occasionally, she would escalate to physically aggressive behavior including attempts to push her mother or throw things.⁣ 👀 ⁣ The treatment plan for Marnie consisted of many carefully layered interventions including nutrition and sleep supports, cognitive behavior therapy, neurofeedback, and parent training. 🤒 One of the first things we needed to do was develop new patterns of behavior in the home in order to reduce the chronic episodes of behavioral escalation that were happening between Marnie and her parents.⁣ 👓 ⁣ Over time and with consistent application of the “stop the action” strategy, the parents reported a significant reduction in these breakdown episodes. 🤟 The “stop the action” strategy supports the needs of the child, reduces the duration and intensity of the child’s reaction, and strengthens the connection between parent and child. ⁣👑 ⁣ Want to hear the rest of Marnie’s story and learn how you can apply the “stop action” strategy with your kids? 🎯 Click the link in my bio 👆 to download this chapter in my book.⁣ ⁣ https://www.drbeurkens.com/book/⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #bookquotes #stopaction #stop #action #family #behaviorproblems #strategy #parents #child #relationships #escalation #author #blogger #therapy #food #diet #effects

The idea of being strict as a parent  has gotten a bad reputation of late. Often times when people are talking about being strict they're aligning it with an aggressive emotional response in parenting, possibly yelling or spanking. In reality being strict should be a positive attribute of parenting. This video outlines a healthy idea of strict parenting as being loving, supportive, and predictable. parentcoach.org #parenting #parentcoach #resiliantkids #familycounseling #behavior #behaviorproblems #normalkids #conductdisorder #oppositionaldefiant #nopathology #normalbutunacceptable #videocoaching #amherstnh #respect #effectiveconsequences #discipliningchildren #discipline #healthydiscipline parentcoach.org

Posted @withrepost@growaprince Behavior happens and it is best that you are prepared for them. Aside from #positivediscipline approaches, here are other general approaches to address baby and toddler #behaviorproblems : - First rule out pain or illness. - Establish predictability and consistency. Structure is very important to avoid #meltdowns. - Create a calm atmosphere. Children absorb everything in the environment, including stress. - Do not forget to notice appropriate behavior. Often adults only react to inappropriate behavior. - Use “do” statements. Just saying NO or DON’T DO THAT to kids are not very helpful to them. Give us alternatives, instead. - Share control by providing options, asking kids to make small decisions, and giving kids responsibilities. That’s #royaltip # 2. So, I have been a little MIA on insta lately... and it’s simple because it’s been crazy lately. With the 48 soles I’m responsible for, they all need as much love and attention I can give them and that has been my focus🙌🏻 • There are days that are easy, and then there are days that you find the remains of the behavioral strategies you had to use today still sitting on the desk of the student that had a very rough and disruptive outburst of a day. • No one said co-tough, inclusion would be easy. Many different learning disabilities, many different behavioral issues, and many different hats you have to pull from every day. • It’s okay to be tired. It’s okay to go home and need peace and quiet to keep your sanity. It’s okay to feel like you aren’t doing enough, even though you also know you are.... It’s okay to have to flip the timer over several times before that student finally stops throwing/shoving things and calms down... AND it’s okay that you still hugged on him as he left your room because you know deep down he needed that as much as the timer. • We are okay and we are doing every thing in our power to help and reach every student we have. Keep your head up and keep going 💕 • #teachertired #behavioralhealth #mentalhealth #cotaught #inclusion #behaviorproblems #behaviorstrategies #classroombehavior #iteachfourth #iteach4th #metime #teacher #teacherproblems #teachersofinstagram

Little ones do not wake up thinking: “ how do I make my parents day more difficult today?” Or “it’s nice to have tantrums I really like having them”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ They wake up with the desire and need to explore and connect. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Something however happens during the day where they feel overwhelmed, where they experience too much stimuli and their young brains do not have the capacity - just yet - to process all of this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This may be triggered by a simple “no” they hear from their parents. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just remember, the little one is always amazing and lovely. Their behaviors are their communication telling us something big is hiding under them. Figuring out what that is - will eliminate the big challenging behavior. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📲Don't forget to follow me @selma_parentchildrelationships 🥰
