It’s just not as simple as it sounds. Nothing ever is. 😣. Restriction is tough, it’s hard to maintain but we need to make it as easy as possible for ourselves. How? Be flexible and know that you are not going to perfect. Know that some days you will go over those calories & some days you’ll go under. Some days you won’t train because of ‘life’ but some days you will. So don’t be harsh and criticise yourself. You have unconditional permission to eat what you like, but YOU need to make the conscience effect to make better decisions. With density, volume and variety, you are in control. ✌🏻. Making an effect to continually track your food through a diary 📔, helps to enable you to see how you can develop and evolve your diet. It’s not a bad thing to want improvement 😁. Daily Mail, can we talk please? So, I see you featured me on your website. This is totally awesome and made me feel and warm and fuzzy in my heart. Thank you. I am just a guy with Microsoft PowerPoint trying to make a complicated industry easier to understand for the masses. It is nice to see my images being spread far and wide. I am genuinely grateful. This excitement turned slightly sour quite quickly for two reasons which I think are important to voice. 1) The Google title for this article was "nutrition .experts reveal how to shed belly weight fast". This is not in keeping with my advice. I talk at length how targeted fat loss isn't really a thing and I believe this title is misleading. 2) At the bottom of the article it transitions into a vague piece about insulin and how it stops people losing fat. I don't feel this piece is super accurate. People asked me about my thoughts on it as if I was somehow an author to the whole piece or signed it off somehow and I did not. I wasn't aware I was going to feature. Let's look at some research on this. One short term trial (swipe image) showed body fat losses can occur independently of changes to insulin. One longer term trial (12 months) found that changes to body weight occurred independent of insulin secretion and genotype pattern. Also on the swipe. I know that this seems a bit shitty to call you out on an article where I am the main feature but hey, morals are morals and I don't like changing my standards. Thank you for featuring me, I am genuinely grateful. I just don't like the title and some of the tone of the article. I don't think they match the message I was trying to convey. I am more than happy to feature in further pieces, I would just appreciate if the standard was a bit higher. Or offering plans based on your experience. 🙄⁣ ⁣ This isn't helping people, it's confusing them. 🙎‍♂️⁣ ⁣ If my shoulder is screwed I go see my physio, he helps heal and treat it, gives me exercises and talks me through the problem. That doesn't now mean I'm an expert in shoulder mechanics and ultrasound.⁣ ⁣ I don't start endorsing theraband or the latest fad to treat sore muscles. Because I know I got a complete prescription, backed by expertise and experience.⁣ ⁣ Would I not be better off saying "hey go see my physio, he is an expert in fixing fked up shoulders"⁣ ⁣ Of course I would and that's exactly what we should all be doing.
