What does it mean to eat in moderation, in the context of fitness loss? And does moderation look the same for every one? Eating in moderation loosely means eating controlled portions to support your lifestyle and fitness goals. It is a very subjective way of eating “healthy”. The quantity of say, chocolate cake, that an individual eats in moderation could be over eating for another individual. So saying that I eat chocolate cake or drink alcohol in moderation is pretty useless. For example: A 100g piece of chocolate cake is 371 calories. That’s a substantial amount for someone on a 1,500 calories a day. However, someone on a 2,500 calories a day can get away with the same piece of cake. So while both ate moderately, it carried very different meanings for both individuals. A better way of handling moderation is by: #1. Assigning a numerical value to the calories you consume . . #2. Understanding thoroughly how much food is enough to support you weight loss goals . . #3. Incorporating indulgences around your daily caloric value . . Every year that I turn older and wiser (mostly older), I learn a lesson or two about life and myself. Here's what I learnt this year: . . . #1. Set lofty goals that scare the crap out of you. Then work hard to accomplish them by keeping your head down and visualizing yourself at the finish line. Oh Darling ! Don’t take all the burden of the world on your head ⚜️. . Head or Heart ??? Are they different? We ll know our heart beats faster for some people ☺️🥰 but is there a correlation? . In 1991 it was proven by modern science that heart has neurons meaning Brain like cells are present in the heart 💓 So, you think from your heart as well. Then what’s the brain’s🧠 job, well brain is there to protect us , so it processes information from our past, experiences , data adds to it our judgement, fears etc etc and then decides. Queen vibes at Most magical night of 2019 ✨💫no no May be Life 🥰 @narendra.bhawan.bikaner surpassed all standards of hospitality, I had in my mind and made it almost impossible for anyone to impress me now ( 😬😬 oh no). So, grateful for their thoughtfulness. . This night I felt like a Queen ( Maharani as I would like to claim). . Well Rani was in her silks ( Mom's 40+ years old saree, pearls are missing but nevermind). There was the finest #Vegan food for her , there was Authentic Rajasthani food like Cashew Sabzi, there was the finest wines around, there was no electricity but just light and warmth from fire, and and and there were Live singers singing with their instruments and no gadgets ( except our phones which i was away from most of the night ). . And to top all of this I was in the company of wonderful souls under skies so clear you could almost see the whole milkyway 🥰😍😍😍, Isn't this more beautiful than your most beautiful dream ??? . I legit asked to stay under the stars and lie down for a minute to soak in the beauty of this experience. 2019 truely one of the best years ever. ❌Not a workout or diet or travel post❌ . . Senti post : because I am so proud of this boy and to call myself his sister. Our boy finished 7th in @jktyre_motorsport championship despite of a crash a day before the race. He had finished 7th in qualifying round which meant he had to start at number 7 but after a crash, he was moved to number 15 and his bike was damaged and it got repaired only at 2 am on race day, still he didn’t give up and decided to compete 🏁🏁. And he improved his position to 7th. . Fun fact : he bought the bike just one year ago and restarted his biking. But, the real truth behind all this fancy pictures and the fact that he can slide his knees and elbows on track is he rides and practiced everyday. Waking up at 4 am everyday to make time to practice his skills in empty parking lots. He fell multiple times, had crashes and still persisted in his dream, come what may. . . This post is to let him know he’s extra special and a campion in my heart ( and all you lovely people who follow me) . I missed watching it in person but next year I ll be in the pits when you smash new goals. 🥳🥳😊. . Your loving Sister #desimuscles
