In the past, I fell on the cycle of lack often. By drifting into not-so-good-feeling thoughts. When I'm drifting and wishing for something I don't have, that's the sign that I am no longer in the present moment. ⁠ .⁠ If I'm thinking "I wish I had", "I will never get that", "nobody has that", for a few minutes, let alone hours, physiologically these "innocent" thoughts will fire my fight or flight, causing a stress response in my body, affecting all of my systems (my muscles, blood pressure, immune system etc). Energetically these thoughts would make me feel dissatisfied, disappointed, pessimistic, overwhelmed and they'd lower my vibration, my point of attraction. ⁠ .⁠ If I let myself go down the spiral, by the law of attraction I will just keep finding things I lack. (Love, money, a career, friends, anything goes.) ⁠ .⁠ Once you have physical proof you lack all of those things, (and you will get it, if you think about it long enough) now is almost inevitable not to focus on the lack, because it's right in front of your eyes. You attracted proof and now you cant stop thinking about it. The cycle of lack is well underway. ⁠ .⁠ That's why being present is so important because thinking about the past or future takes me away from appreciating what's in front of me. ⁠ .⁠ I still find myself looking for what I don't have, rather than focusing on what I do have. That habit is still a part of me. The difference is that I catch myself doing it now. Sometimes right in the moment, other times minutes or hours late but I catch myself eventually. I no longer dwell on what I don't have for too long.⁠ .⁠ Whatever you do today, be present. Be fully in your body and your soul.
