Got my 5th workout in of the week. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to put in that many workouts in a week. ⁣ ⁣ I am fighting a stomach ache right now. It’s not a sickness, it’s just part of my Hashimoto’s deciding to flare up. A calorie deficit is much easier to achieve if you are filling up on fiber rich vegetables, fruits, and whole grains as well as lean proteins and healthy fats. When people consume a lot of whole plant foods, they often lose weight without thinking about it. Weight loss does not have to be a miserable process. Focusing on the quality of your diet will make it so you feel better which means that it is much more sustainable for the long term. ✅ Drop the diet mentality! Listen to what your body is telling you. Focus on nourishing your body and stop counting every calorie. ✅ And if you are craving something you’ve told yourself you cannot eat, have some! Weight loss/weight maintenance is a long-term process so there is no need to be a perfectionist. Hello!! Firstly, shoutout to @president_kc for teaching to to pose like this so my legs look long 😇. . . Secondly, wanted to share/record where my #fitnessjourney is at right now: highs and lows. Trips to the gym have been low at only 2 times week, which makes me stressed but my schoolwork makes me more stressed so it wins out 😞. Next week is FINALZ 😵 but honestly I think I’ll be able to work out more finals week because I don’t have class, even the thought of getting to work out every day again is making me so excited !!! . . . A high is that my lower body strength has been at an all time high! 🥳 my squats are consistently at 85lb and my deadlifts are at 95lbs ✨. This may not seem much to all of you, but to me, 95 pounds would have seemed like an impossible weight earlier this year. Being a rather small kid throughout most of my life I never though I would be able to lift this much I’m quite excited! Reaching PRs motivates me to work even harder in 2020. I AM GOING TO SAY IT : although I have so much left to improve, I am very proud of myself. It removes any momentum assistance from bounce or changes in direction, making it an excellent movement for building raw pulling strength. ⁠

thanksgiving festivities 2018 vs. thanksgiving festivities 2019. this is embarrassing as frick to post. last year, I was struggling with a numbing anxiety that I could forget about for an hour while I took 12 shots and almost blacked out every weekend. I’d finish the night by stuffing myself with three bowls of buttered noodles and passing out on the couch. this behavior didn’t even make me sad because I literally thought that buttered noodles were a much better alternative than Mac n cheese, so it’s healthy right?? LOL. This year, I don’t think I bought myself a single drink. After one tequila shot, the bf bought me a few more drinks that I took one sip of each and then ran to the bathroom with to pour down the drain 😂 I didn’t want to party to feel a gratification outside of myself. I didn’t want to wear a crop top in freezing 15 degree weather for the sake of my poor self esteem. What I wanted was to spend meaningful time with people I care about, connecting with them on a fun yet conscious level. And it felt so good, and made me very happy 💛 . In two days, I’m launching my website that I’ve been working on for the past three months. I’ve been grinding so hard to give to you what I’ve learned, lost, and gained through this ongoing journey. It would mean the absolute world to me if you could send words of love & encouragement, as self-doubt is a daily obstacle I have to tackle. I want you to know you’re more resilient than you think, you’re never alone, and the process is beautiful.
