Establishing a consistent workout routine is hard. Committing to yourself each and every day takes conscious effort, it won’t just happen. If you’re struggling to maintain a routine, here’s what helped me... 1. Remind yourself that being active is GOOD for you. You are not punishing your body for what you ate; you are celebrating what it is capable of. 2. Find something you enjoy doing. You may like working out at home, you might like going to the gym, you might prefer to exercise outside. It truly doesn’t matter what you do - but make sure you like it, most of the time ;) 3. Don’t hesitate. I like to be active in the morning before school - but if I lay in bed and think, “do I really feel like working out right now?” it’s soooo easy to talk myself out of it - and I always regret not doing it. Get up when you said you would, and get it done. 4. Stay consistent, and try not to get discouraged. Remember, it takes about 4 weeks for you to notice a change, 8 weeks for your friends, and 12 weeks for everyone else. Be patient. 5. Find a preworkout you like. I used to think they wouldn’t do anything - and I was so wrong. I’m obsessed with it now and don’t workout without my pump up juice 🙌🏼 6. Find your support system. Maybe they workout with you, maybe they cook with you, or maybe they simply cheer you on. Maybe that’s your mom, your friends, your spouse, or me! I never could have went through this journey alone - and you don’t have to either. If you’re ready for a change, and ready to find a support system to crush goals with you, I’m your girl. HAPPY #FRIYAY Y’ALL 🤗🧡⁣ ⁣ Thought I’d share this recipe for Chicken Taco Soup I made earlier this week! SO easy and SO good 🤤 I’m a massive fan of hearty soups & chilis because they’re extra filling and they reheat really well (which makes them a great option for meal prepped dinners!)💃🏻⁣ ⁣ ⬇️Recipe below⬇️⁣ ⁣ —⁣ ⁣ ~* CHICKEN TACO SOUP *~⁣ ⁣ { Ingredients: }⁣ ⁣ - Rotisserie chicken, de-boned and shredded ⁣ - 2 tbsp avocado oil⁣ - 4 cloves garlic, minced⁣ - 1 small white onion, chopped ⁣ - 1 green bell pepper, chopped ⁣ - 1 cup cilantro, chopped ⁣ - 1 jalapeño, chopped ⁣ - 1, 15oz. can diced tomatoes (drained)⁣ - 1, 15oz. can black beans (drained)⁣ - 1, 32oz. low sodium chicken broth ⁣ - 3 tbsp chili powder⁣ - 2 tbsp cumin⁣ - salt, pepper, garlic + onion powder to taste⁣ ⁣ ⁣ 1. Sauté garlic, onion, bell pepper, cilantro, jalapeño in avocado oil until nearly soft.⁣ 2. Add in tomatoes, beans, chicken and spices. Stir until the spices evenly coat everything and continue to let mixture cook for approximately 5 minutes. ⁣ 3. Pour in chicken broth, cover and allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning to your liking!⁣ 4. **Optional:** I add avocado slices, a dollop 0% Greek yogurt (subbing for sour cream for a smidge of added protein) and sprinkle of monterey jack cheese!⁣
