vagavogue (@get_regrann) - The first time I went to Spiti, everything seemed out of some other world. My jaw touched the ground. I consumed everything without a blink. Surprisingly, even after the second time, the novelty wasn't lost. Every view, every vista, every sunrise and sunset seemed new. The love seemed to grow deeper and the bond stronger. Spiti never fails to surprise you. . . . . . . . #vagavogue #vagavoguetravels #travelon #travelphotography #incrediblehimachal #himalayasarecalling #jannatofhimachal #jannatehimachal #himalayasin #awesomehimachal #indianhimalayas #himachaldiaries #storiesofhimalayas #explorehimalayas #himachalpradesh #spitivalleydiaries #lahaulspiti #himalayas #himachal #spitilife #spitiexpedition #onehimachal #instatravel #highonhimalayas #travelgram #instahimachal #himachaltourism #spitivalley #himachalpictures #indiantravelblogger

I felt called to go, so I went! It was easy in that way that anything you are in alignment with is easy. Even when taking each breath is a painful challenge. This was my prayer going in and what I continue to pray: May I have a strong spirit. May I be a person who dreams big, then sits in awe of the magic that unfolds. May I be a person who does not flirt with thoughts of failure. May I have faith that whatever experience is meant for me will not miss me. Aaaaand now I’m going to go sleep for the next 100 hours. If you need me, I’ll be dreaming about superhuman sherpas, yak cheese, and the Himalayas ✌🏼😘

As we woke up in that damp October morning, eyes swollen because of lack of sleep, teeth chattering out of cold and excitement brewing in spite of the excruciating tiredness, we knew today was going to be epic. As I got into my high slit gown saved especially for this day, I immediately knew it was an extreme decision. The weather outside smelt is poignant with a warning of snow. I quickly wrapped myself into the thickest coat that I had and got into my boots. My slit dress could not save my legs, however, it felt rather nice when the cold wind caressed my skin. We were at last headed towards Gurudongmar Lake! . . The road to the lake was replaced by gigantic craters, dirt and slush, but that didn't deter us from taking several pitstops in the pretext of soaking in the beauty of the remote area. The autumnal touch had set the mountains ablaze in myriad colours. Meanwhile, it rained, snowed, thundered and rainbowed all at the same time. But as we approached, the clouds gave way and the sun smiled. The landscape suddenly changed from lush green countryside to a naked barren moorland, and the transition was undecipherable. . . And in the middle of all this chaos stood our crowning jewel. A piece of turquoise brilliance perched snuggly between the snow-clad mountains and absolute nothingness. And as I bowed down to the resplendence of nature, I felt my emotions flowing down uncontrollably from my eyes. This..this was God for me. @vagavogue #himachalisluv #himalayangirls #vagavoguetravels #vagavoguefashion #westsikkim #sikkimese #storiesofhimalayas #sikkimtravel #northsikkim #himalayas #thehimalayas #explorehimalayas #himalayasnepal #sikkimadventures #sikkim #indianhimalayas #beautifulsikkim #southsikkim #himalayasarecalling #sikkimtourism #sikkimtrip #streetsofhimalayas #travelawesome #sikkim_diaries #sikkimdiaries #highonhimalayas #eastsikkim #travelholic

#ChildrensDaySpecial | An 8-year-old’s First Trek Experience In The Himalayas . . Children between the ages of 8 and 13 are most impressionable. They are full of energy on treks! And are always eager to see and learn new things. They also come up with the most questions and observations. Have you noticed this? . . This is Stuthi Aithal. She went on the Dayara Bugyal Trek with us in June earlier this year. In her article ‘My first ever trek to Dayara Bugyal’, she writes about her first trekking experience . . Here's a short excerpt - "We started our trek with cool and pleasant weather. It was a 4 km trek, there were three guides along with 20 trekkers. Deep Sir , Siddharth and Tanmay were in the lead. On the trek we saw different types of trees and saw the Himalayas so near that I felt like I could just reach it in an arm’s length." . . On the trek, Stuthi saw her first Himalayan sunrise, experienced her first summit climb and rolled on the grasslands of Gui. And in her account she offers a peek into her first trek as an 8-year-old. It's such a treat to read! (Link in bio) . . Tell us - what do you think about introducing children to treks? | PC – Rajesh Aithal

This monastery is a must visit place on your spiti Vall

Gue Monastery This monastery is a must visit place on your spiti Valley journey. It is home to a mummified monk. The mummy is believed to be over 500 years old. To reach here you have to take a detour while going from Nako to Tabo. In the backdrop of this Monastry lies the mighty Himalayan peaks and a small gue village. This village have some homestays in case one wish to stay. Overall it's one of a kind Monastry which should definitely be visited during spiti Valley trip. 🏔 #himalayasarecalling #himachali #himachal_diaries #himachal_pradesh #historicalplace #instagood #wanderlust #beautifuldestinations #natgeotravellerindia #natgeoyourshot #pictureoftheday #photooftheday #photography_top #wandergram #photogram #lonelyplanet #travelers #travelguide #vacation #photographylovers #naturephotography #landscape_love #soi #shuttersofindia #oph #_sohp #instahimalayas #himalayan #monastery #spirituality
