🙌Time to UPGRADE🙌 This heat has got me good ☀️ I had found such a good routine for my days that meant I could get up, spend time with Miss Z, drop her at daycare and head off on my morning walk. It was working so well and I felt in flow. That was until this week where we are hitting the high temperatures before 8am 🥵 So it’s time to mix it up. To accept that circumstances have changed and find a new solution to keep moving but in a way that is best for both me and bub. I’ve been here before, that situation where you finally find a routine that works and then something changes and throws it all out. I use to get so frustrated, disheartened and decide it was all ‘too hard’ and give up 🤦‍♀️ That was until I realised these changes forcing us to rethink our routines were really simply an opportunity to UPGRADE 💥 an opportunity for growth. Identify what was working and what wasn’t. Keep what was, and release what wasn’t ... it really is that simple. I’ve done this numerous times over the last 3 years... I started morning boxing classes but then found missing out on seeing Z in the mornings was too much of a sacrifice. But I truly loved being active again so, I stopped the ‘classes’ (which required me to be there at a set time) and got a ‘general membership’ so I could go at times that didn’t mean missing time with my girl. Then after a while I realised the 16 minutes spent driving to and from that gym in the mornings was stressing me out, it was time I didn’t have. So I upgraded.. I found a gym 3 minutes from home, saving me 10 minutes of driving and meaning my mornings weren’t as rushed. I then felt lost at my new gym and was unsure where to start. So I upgraded and got myself an awesome trainer twice a week for 16 weeks (thank you @lewlad_ @invictus.strengthandfitness) and found my confidence (and a sh*t load of strength) again 💪 Then my girl decided to wake every morning just as I was heading for my PT session. It became so upsetting and meant the whole house was awake by 4:30am and I was often running in frazzled #mumlife. So I accepted it was time for change once again and upgraded. {cont. in comments}
