Vegetables naturally are extremely ‘voluminous’ (lol) foods – but contain very little calories. To paint a picture, a mere tablespoon of olive oil has more calories than TWO POUNDS of zucchini. 🥒 - When you center your meals on high volume, nutrient dense plants – you are naturally able to eat more while consuming less. As you can see, the cheeseburger, fries and coke equate to the same calories as ALL the plant-based meals on the right. Chances are – you’d also be hungry for more a few hours after eating the burger. 🍔 - Basically – I just want to paint a picture that a high volume approach to eating can be an extremely valuable weight loss and maintenance tool. This doesn’t mean you can’t ever indulge – but it’s something to be mindful of when you’re planning out your weekly meals. HAPPY MONDAY! • I had an absent weekend this weekend due to spending quality time with my loved ones 🥰 • I got weighed in Sunday and I had lost 1lb, now I am happy with that because at the end of the day it is a loss and it is better than gaining etc AND I wasn’t entirely “on plan” last week - but I’m not happy because I KNOW I can do better. So I have decided with the help of my consultant @cwpkelly that I would step down to 1b for a week (possibly 2) just to hopefully drop some more substantial weight before Christmas. Chili satay 🌶 4. Soy sauce 5. Egg 🥚 1 6. Veggies: 1/4 bell pepper, 100g beans, 25g carrot, 25g corn 🌽 (you can use any other types of vegs) 7. Garlic 🧄 Let’s cookkkk 👩🏽‍🍳 1. Marinate chopped tofu with soy sauce and chili satay, depending on your taste 2. Stir fry garlic until it smells good, add the mixture of veggies in 3. Add marinated tofu along with the sauce in 4.
