My name is Mia and I’m 30 years old, I basically started with yoga this summer. I used to cheer for over 10 years and then started doing pole dance, that for 6 years now. I opened a studio and currently teaching classes and still working at my day job. I compete in the double category and this year we got world champions! :) I practice everyday and every morning I’m doing my yoga. I would love to teach it one day, but doing those 200h courses is a lot and is currently not fitting in my schedule :( Therefore for now I’m just practicing and trying to practice in every situation in my life. Human doing Cat & Cow with a Dog. #happywellnesswednesday . . . 最近寒くなったからか、朝起きたときに首肩のコリを感じることが多くなったので、よくキャット&カウをやっています。 . ヨガがはじめての人にもやりやすく、上半身全体を解してくれ、呼吸も楽に、深まるポーズです。マットを持っていない人は、下にブランケットや厚手のタオルを敷いてやるのがおすすめです^^ . . 1. 両手を両肩の真下、両膝を腰の真下に置きます。両手の人差し指と中指の間がまっすぐ前を向くようにおき、指のはらでマットを捉え、両かかとは天井に向けてまっすぐ立てましょう。 . . 2. 息を吸って、お腹を緩めて、おでこと尾てい骨を天井に向かって持ち上げます。目線を斜め上に持ち上げてみましょう。 . . 3. 息を吐いて、お腹を引き上げ、背骨を丸めます。両手両足でマットを押して、肩甲骨の間を天井に近づけるように押し上げてみましょう。目線も内側へ。 . . 4. 呼吸に合わせながら、2~3を5~10回繰り返します。ひと呼吸ひと呼吸、無理のない範囲で呼吸を長く、深くしてみて。動きもちょっとずつ大きく、広げてみましょう。 . . ゆったりと動くと、背骨一つ一つの動きが徐々に緩やかになって、体の中が巡っていくことが感じられます。 . 終わった後は、眠気は覚めて視界もスッキリクリアになるから、1日の始まりにおすすめなんです! . . Don’t always look for the difficulty, Bask in the ease. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I used to be the person that only wanted to take a yoga class if it was crazy challenging. I wanted to walk out of the room drenched in sweat, feeling like I expended every ounce of my energy on the mat. I wanted to do every pose the instructor cued + the most “advanced” variation. I never took breaks. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I haven’t felt called to that type of practice for awhile now. Sure, I love other physically challenging types of movement because I enjoy pushing myself. But, when it comes to why I practice yoga specifically + the purpose it serves, I realized what benefits me the most is when I s l o w down. My movements, my breath. When I can really tune into how I’m moving + feeling by taking a slower pace and finding longer holds in foundational poses. It’s less about zoning out and distracting myself, and so much more about paying attention and feeling connected. And that can take a moment of pause + actual stillness in the midst of flow. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let me know if you feel the same! What are your favorite yoga classes to take?💛

For some time now I've been wanting to share my real practice which I do regularly. I don't do yoga everyday, but I move everyday. I don't know if that's yoga or not and to be honest I don't really care if my movements fit in someone else's definition of yoga, I don't care if it's called yoga either because it feels good and that's the point. It's movement that I really enjoy and need to feel physically and mentally flexible to start my day right. It's just some standing forward and back bends, always moving from side to side to see how the sensations change. Experimenting with my body. I recommend it to everyone. It takes only some minutes or even seconds to stretch and move a little bit and it changes so much. Please warm up before doing deep stretches and always know your limits (especially after waking up). Always listening to lovely @fatfreddysdropnz Lots of love 💕
