You are What You Eat: Is a phrase which is the cause of all our issues with food. This is also the reason why we categorise food as good and bad. So if I eat a burger, I’m bad but if I eat a salad I’m evil. Wtf? Nutrition is NOT that simple. Psychology has a lot to do with our eating habits. Some people eat according to their feelings while others eat based on their goals or both! I’m a pretty goal oriented person but there are days when I want to eat dessert for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Doesn’t mean I’m a giant 🍪. 🤦🏻‍♀️ It all comes down to self-image. You eat what you are. If you cherish yourself and your body, you will do right by it and give it all the nutrients it needs to sustain the beautiful life you’ve created for yourself. However, if you’re unhappy and don’t appreciate your body, you won’t care what you put into it and just eat your emotions away. So: 1. You are NOT what you eat. You eat what you feel. 2. So just because it works for somebody else, doesn't mean it will work for you 🤔 Many factors come onto play when determining best practice for compound movement, including (but not limited to); the length of your limbs, the make up of your joints, injury history, range of movement, how you're feeling on the day... etc. And while there are some elementary universal truths to strength movements, attempting to replicate somebody else's form could prove troublesome.
