Working in a blend of traditional and digital mediums, my work always turns back to nature for subject matter. The graphics are original. First creating sketches and becoming familiar with the form then creating a paper cut element, which is then revised digitally for color and texture. Sometimes I will work back and forth between the papercut and the computer. White out has proven to be a useful artist's material. Despite how it may look in this photo, it’s currently pouring down with rain and freezing. Winter has definitely come early this year, but I’m happy that I’m somewhat able to move around unlike last November when I was completely bed bound. Today is also Full moon in Taurus and I bet you knew there was a full moon post coming from me 🌕😁 . . In astrology, full moons represent a sense of completion and fulfillment. It’s time to look back on what you’ve accomplished since the last full moon and celebrate that you’ve made it through all the challenges. This month, the full moon in Taurus is a sign known for it’s down-to-earth nature and a love of luxury. In other words, this full moon is a great time to treat yourself well. Taurus is a natural fit for the full moon energy because it’s a sign that likes to build and create. The moon’s favorite sign to be in is Taurus because it’s an eat, drink, and be merry placement, which the moon loves...and so does Taurus! . . Now’s the perfect time to treat yourself - eat your favourite foods, go get that expensive sweater you love, lay on your couch with all the fluffy blankets. Here’s a picture of me doing the splits. And through my profile you’ll see many pictures of me doing flexibility and strength moves. This however is no reflection of what kind of coach I am. Far to often I’m coming across fitness and flexibility coaches who are making a living in that profession because of their own personal journeys, they may have an online program and spout words of wisdom about movement and nutrition because they’ve read a lot of books and done a few courses (or for bonus points coached a celebrity once) But what makes a good coach is ‘experience’ and what can only come naturally a good eye. There is no doubt I can do what I teach because it’s my graft that’s for sure, I’ve put many many hours into training my own body but it’s from the hours and years I’ve put into physically coaching every single type of person - From children to Adults of all ages, Athletes to people who’ve entered a gym for the first time in their lives, hyper mobile people to someone who can barley touch their knees, yogis, gaa players, rugby players, retired office workers - that’s where Ive learned. I have learned by spending time and working with and under top athletes and world class coaches. Ive learned how every single body is different and there is no one for all methodology. Anyone who has been coached by me will know I’m a stickler for form because I want people to understand themselves to understand how they move and how they can move. I absolutely adore what I do and it’s the hands on beauty of it I love. So when choosing who’s advise to buy please be cautious of how much physical time they have spent with people because you can read all the books in the world but only an experienced coaches eye will give the tools to consistency!

Since listening to the @theradiantwarriorpodcast a few days ago, this idea of vulnerability & performance-based perfectionism has been on my mind. . Serendipitously, my friend/soul-sister @nina_petruzzo_yoga shared today about her battles with perfectionism, & I think it is a topic that most can relate to whether self-identifying as a perfectionist or not. . I think there is a misconception that to be a ‘perfectionist,’ one’s life must appear ‘in order’ & ‘perfect.’ In reality, many perfectionists live in disarray because they are frozen in a state of non-doing out of fear of failure/ fear of judgement/abandonment. . @katiebrauertransform nailed it on the head in this recent podcast with her explanation of wanting unconditional love/regard. . Whether it is through performance or how you present yourself or ways that you engage with others (or not) - where is your behavior altered out of an act to obtain (or not lose) unconditional love? . Where are you holding back in speaking your Truth, holding back in trying something new or different, holding back at all(!) because you don’t know how it will be received, whether you will be judged, or even ostracized? . Personally, I know in my relationships I have a pattern of not being my authentic Self. In friendships, I have no problem shining my light, but in intimate relationships, I have found that my light was much more dim. . Until recently (today), I would blame that on the person I was with. (‘If I am not that way in other relationships, it must be him.’) . In actuality I have been dimming my own light(!!!) . I have been holding myself back. . Out of fear of rejection from the person I am closest to. Out of fear of being unlovable. . By dimming my own light, we are both affected. We are both suffering. . This has been a MAJOR wake-up call for me. . Yes, by shining my light, speaking my Truth, and living authentically, some relationships may end. . I would much rather live in my Truth, in alignment, than pretend I am someone I am not & dim my light in order to make others more comfortable. . If you have been dimming your light to avoid disruption, comment below & let’s make a commitment to shine BRIGHT together! ⭐

Handstands at 11 weeks 🌸 Over the past 2 years, I've planned my day around yoga & Lani-lu. For the past 6 weeks everytime I practice yoga I get incredibly dizzy & have felt more nauseous after 5 or so minutes. So, against my normal yoga drive & instincts, I've listened to my body and allowed myself to rest (although I have been frustrated many many times). _ ALAS - I played with handstands & I love that I frequently find that yoga asana is like riding a bike, or swimming, etc.. you develop a baseline, a lot of it based on your self trust and the mind body connections you've established. #iloveyoga _ Check my story for the somewhat shaky, but #handstand hold I was proud of. ❣️ _ #creativelyupsidedown #handstandeveryday #pregnantyogi #11weekspregnant #strongwomen #myyogalife #momssupportingmoms
