𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒆: 𝑭𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 I🦄 On the first phase of the cycle (from the start of bleeding until ovulation) all the external worries, pressure, troubles that we perceive as stress are turned inwards as frustration. 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅 𝒑𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒆: 𝑨𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 I🦄 On the second phase (from ovulation until the next cycle) all the external stressors are turned outwards as anger towards others. And there's (almost) nothing that a lil self time with a hot cup of tea 🍵 can't calm down and relax. What do you do to relieve tension? I've had to admit to myself that I'm a worrier, not just regarding myself but also regarding the people that I care about. I become stressed when they're stressed, to the point where I sometimes feel more stressed than they do. I didn't know that second-hand stress was actually a labelled thing, although I've been feeling it for years. So, I've had to come up with a copy mechanism. Whenever I feel myself becoming overwhelmed with second-hand stress, I say out loud "I'm letting you go because you don't belong to me." As simple as it seems, it has actually helped me. #Anxiety #Stress #CopingMechanism #PursuongPeace #SecondHandStress

Kennt ihr es?? Man ist gestresst, überfordert und hat einfach die Schnauze voll von allem? 😫 Heute war einer dieser Tage bei mir, ich war echt kurz davor alles stehen und liegen zu lassen und einfach zu gehen...alles hinter mir zu lassen, nix und niemanden bei mir zu haben...einfach nur mal alleine zu sein, zu sich zu kommen, sein ICH wieder zu finden, aber nein so einfach geht es nicht. 😩 Ich habe Kinder, also bin ich Mutter. Ich habe einen Ehemann, also bin ich eine Ehefrau. Ich habe einen Haushalt, also hab ich mich auch darum zu kümmern. Es gibt Tage wo ich alles mit bravur meistere und Tage wie heute, wo einfach alles einfach zu viel wird. Ich fühlte mich überfordert und gestresst und hatte keine Lust mehr, habe geschrien, geschimpft und war sehr unangenehm zu meinen Kindern😭😭 es tut irgendwo weh, sowas mal Revue passieren zu lassen, denn die Kinder sind Kinder und können nichts dafür... Sie haben ihre Phasen und Schübe , die anstrengend sind und bei denen man richtig handeln sollte. Das was die Kinder machen, machen sie nicht mit Absicht, Kinder wissen nicht, dass das was sie machen, manchmal einen echt am Rande des wahnsinns bringt. Kinder handeln in den meisten Fällen im Eifer des Gefechts. Doch dann kommt alles auf einmal, kaum bis keinen Schlaf, Erschöpfung, Belastung und dann der ganze Alltagstrubel... So explodierst du dann und in solchen Momenten möchte man einfach nur abhauen... 😢😫 Wie geht ihr mit solchen Momenten um? Was macht ihr? Dear family and friends, . I’ve decided, I’m not sending out Christmas cards this year. I AM sorry BUT I also cannot feel badly about my decision. . Story time.... . On Tuesday I was feeling very anxious and overwhelmed. Monday was my first day back at work. Seeing clients for the first time after two months brought them in with A LOT to share. Most of it, as you can imagine, was NOT rainbows and butterflies. If you know me you know I care about others more than myself. . Well, take two months of struggles, multiply it by five (the amount of clients I saw back to back) and sprinkle on top the wonderful world of post partum hormones, lack of sleep and life 😅 . So, I needed Tuesday to recover. . When Dan came home on Tuesday I talked to him about how tough it was but that I was feeling a lot better and he asked me what I did to feel better. I told him I.... 1. TALKed about my feelings of anxiety and overwhelm openly 2. LISTed all the things I FELT I NEEDED to get done today and over the next two weeks 3. COMPLETEd some items on my list and decided which ones could be taken off . I hope you don’t take us off your list for next year because you didn’t receive a card from us this year. I LOVE receiving your Christmas card and have enjoyed opening them with Daniel and telling him everyone who is in the gorgeous photos you had taken of your family to commemorate this time of year ❤️ . BUT, for my own sanity (and my husbands 🤣) I needed to take Christmas cards off of my list. . When telling Dan I decided I was taking Christmas cookies off the list too I think I made him a little nervous 🤣 He didn’t want to miss out on cookies! I normally make 10-15 different kinds of cookies to give out to about two dozen people 😳 . I quickly let him know I would only be making 3 kinds of cookies. Grandma’s cookies, his dad’s favorite and his favorite. After his loud sigh of relief I told him I changed my mind. . I’d be making 4 kinds because I deserve to make my favorite as well! . If your feeling overwhelmed give yourself grace. This time of year is supposed to be MERRY & BRIGHT! If your not feeling merry something’s gotta give. Take some things off your list and don’t feel bad!

Two tips for enjoying food this weekend without feeling stressed:⁠ ⁠ 1. Ask your body what she actually wants to eat. ⁠ ⁠ REALLY- ask! Your body is the BEST guide for choosing foods that satisfy and fuel you. Choosing satisfying foods means you are FAR less likely to over-do it, because you're responding, not ignoring, your body's cues.⁠ ⁠ 2. Ask you body how she wants to feel.⁠ ⁠ This doesn't mean you choose the food you think you *should* eat because it *should* make you feel good.⁠ ⁠ It means pulling from what you KNOW feels good in your body, choosing those foods when you want to feel how you want to feel- energized, warmed, light, full-- only you can determine the feeling you desire and respond accordingly.⁠ ⁠ It's ALSO ok to choose a food that you're not sure will feel the best, RECOGNIZING this and making your decision with mindfulness. Remember- it's what we do over TIME that counts.
