I always get asked why I’m so active on holidays, it’s not abnormal for me to want to move my body. I’m active with work and outside of work, so why would that be different when I actually have more time on my hands!? I made sure I still had lots of rest, but I throughly enjoy working out and I didn’t fully train it was mostly walking and some circuit classes. This is when we make exercise a habit and rather than a chore. ~Natürlich ist es schwer, es muss ja schließlich schwierig sein, denn wenn es einfach wäre, dann würde es ja jeder machen. In der Schwierigkeit liegt die Herausforderung, welche das Ganze erst so interessant macht und wenn du eines Tages Erfolge siehst, dann wird es zur Sucht. ~ Zum Thema Prozess und Transformation: Ich kann mich noch ganz genau an meine ersten kleinen Fortschritte erinnern. 🤭 Das Bild links oben entstand im Mai 2018, als ich bewusst begonnen habe, noch schwerer zu trainieren als sonst. Ich habe das Foto total stolz geschossen, weil ich das erste mal kleine mini Ansätze an meinem Rücken gesehen habe. Jetzt schaue ich darauf zurück und muss selber darüber schmunzeln. Das Foto rechts oben habe ich drei Monate später im August gemacht und links unten entstand im April 2019, als schon alles viel 'bulliger' wurde. Für mich war die größte Motivation, wenn ich eigene Fortschritte sehen konnte. Das hat mir gezeigt, dass ich alles richtig mache und einfach nur dran bleiben muss. Ich finde es schade, wenn sich Leute Ziele setzen, aber nur bloße Worte nicht in Taten umsetzen. Es ist möglich, viel zu erreichen! Das kann ich nur immer wieder sagen! Du musst nur was dafür tun und endlich anfangen! Als Fortgeschrittener siehst du vllt irgendwann auch keine großartigen Veränderungen mehr und gerade dann, wenn du einen Durchhänger hast, schau darauf zurück wie du angefangen hast und was du bis jetzt alles erreichen konntest! If compositional management is on the agenda, fruit and vegetables serve as excellent high volume, low calorie foods that can be consumed in large portion sizes in exchange for few calories. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Cuts of meat and fish vary in caloric density depending on the amount of fat present. What Is a Sumo Deadlift? The sumo deadlift is a deadlift variation that has a lifter place their feet wider than shoulder and hip width so that they can grasp the barbell with the hands in between the knees. This is an acceptable deadlift technique used in powerlifting competitions, and can target slightly different pulling muscles as well. Sumo Deadlift – Muscles Worked: Glutes Hamstring Quadriceps Erector Spinae (lower back) Trapezius and Back Muscles Benefits of the Sumo Deadlift: Increased Pulling Strength Decreased Lumbar Stress Quadriceps and Glute Strength How to Do the Sumo Deadlift Step 1: Start by standing with the feet wider than shoulder width, toes out, and the shins about 1 inch away from the barbell. Step 2: With the arms down to the sides and the back flexed, open the knees and hips and push the hips back, allowing your hips and torso lower themselves. Step 3: With the hips loaded, the lifter should grab the barbell at shoulder width, so that their hands are inside the knees. Step 4: With the arms straight, chest up, and hips slightly lower than a conventional deadlift, you should be in a position that has the shins are nearly vertical, shoulders are over the bar, and your back is flat. Step 5: With a flat back and long arms, the lifter should brace hard and push the legs into the floor while simultaneously pulling the chest upwards. Step 6: At the top of the lift, the lifter should be standing with the arms flexed yet straight. I did a thing, Turtle Pose or Kurmasana 🐢 It’s funny what the power of breath can do. A simple exhale can get you so much deeper into a position. When your yoga teachers remind you to breath, they’re not just saying it for fun or because you’re not breathing (I keep forgetting to 🙄..) but also to help and remind you to inhale to elongate your spine, to be safer and exhale to get deeper into a well aligned position 🌿
