Machu Picchu meaning “Old Mountain” in Quechua, was rediscovered to the world in 1911. Local communities were always aware of this forgotten city of the Inca empire, however it gained significant historical importance much later because it was left untouched during the Spanish Colonial period and was left intact. Unlike many of the archaeological complexes throughout the empire the conquistadors never made it to Machu Picchu. The complex was built by Pachacutec, the great Inca emperor, who also built Cusco. Machu Picchu was used as a retreat for royal members of the empire and was secret to lower classes. The complex has long been a bucket list travel destination for many travelers, especially when it was added as a Wonder of the World in 2007. Much of the complex is still unexcavated and remains under the forest terrain. The Life Break family likes to wake up early before the sun rises making sure we’re one of the first ones in the complex to see Machu Picchu in all of its glory in this rate light.

Most important thing to do when you go to Rome is to throw a coin into the Trevi fountain, with your back to the fountain throw it in, over your shoulder. According to legend, tossing one coin into the Trevi Fountain means you'll return to The Eternal City (Rome), tossing two coins means you'll return and fall in love, and tossing three coins means you'll return, find love and get married. This legend was the inspiration behind the film Three coins in the Trevi Fountain directed by Jean Negulesco. One coin was good enough for me. I just need the another trip to Rome❤. Married to the love of my life already!😘 ..... #travel #bestplacestogo #italy #trevifountain #romantic #rome #photography #beautiful #travelphotography #travelbug #italianfood #romeitaly #worldplaces #worldcaptures #travelstyle #travelstoke #passionpassport #beautifuldestinations #darlingweekend #lovetheworld #meettheworld #meetrome #romeandyou #visitrome #italytravel #italy_vacations
