ATM: Street dancing competition at the 40th Lanzones Festival in Camiguin. Students and different participants from local government units (LGUs) grace the street in their traditional Higaonon attire, designed with lazones crafts and intricate bead works. Perfomances are often accompanied by the Diwata, as it is believed to be responsible for keeping the fruit sweet. In her address, Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat lauded the TPB for the impressive attendance on the 3-day event’s opening, and rallied local and international tourism players to support DOT’s goal to build a Philippine tourism industry that is anchored on “fun”, authenticity, and sustainability. PHITEX is one of the key marketing activities led by TPB to increase tourism arrivals in the country.
