Zombie mailman, from 2D to 3D-ish, (aka 2.5D or the parallax effect). Whatever you call it, it’s a fun animation exercise of one of my favorite graffiti photos from somewhere in El Carmen (the old city of Valencia, Spain) from 2015. Anyone know if it’s still there?
A rotating stop-motion layered traffic star...or something.
(Sound on, and wait for the end!) One from the archives, in honor of scary pumpkin day and Rocket Man. A short couple of audio clips from a long song (or two—at least, the song has two names), great to listen to with the lights out.
I took a slow-mo video of a fascinating red tree in the Turia of Valencia, Spain (swipe through to see the original), but the video was glitching, I think because of a weird frame rate. I layered it with a 180-degree copy of itself using a difference blend mode, and this was the result. Kinda cool, I think.
Today’s book quote is from @aelsean (Michael Sean Harris), part of the very first MTI (Music Technology and Innovation) Masters’ class at Berklee València. Get those shots, then get more!
While in the “schloßgarten” in Kiel, Germany earlier this week, I saw a bush with berries that were an amazingly vivid purple, so here it is with no color correction and some layering in AfterEffects. The audio is an unmodified field recording of a nightingale.
Wisdom from @shaudibianca in “The DIY Guide to Making Music Videos” book. The book includes the thoughts and experience of a lot of people about the DIY music video process, and I’ll try to share the best quotes here.
Light painting at sunset. I did this during the summer but then forgot to bring it to completion. (Does that ever happen to anyone else?)
Shout out to @stephenwebberr for a great insight in “The DIY Guide to Making Music Videos.”
Another time lapse class photo, this one in the upper halls of Berklee València. With Manu Fernandez, Tita Gomes, Casey Miller, Tayler Mooney and Kyrie Antoinette.
So cool! An artist I follow (@stillonoir) that I found by whatever random way you find things, just happens to be in the same corner of the planet (València, Spain), and is painting a mural just a couple of km from where I live. It’s part of the @zedreartmural outdoor street art museum project. I got a private studio tour! 😊
