⏰TIME⏰ Day 6 of #AloSelfReflect with reflection on time and a restorative pose. Honestly I suck at time management. Instead of waking up early and managing my time before work, I stay in bed to get more sleep and because my cat is cuddled up with me and she’s just too cute (swipe to see her fat lil self). 😩STRESS😩 ⁣ ⁣ Day 5 of #AloSelfReflect with reflection on stress and a hip opener. ⁣ ⁣ Stress is what brought me to yoga in the first place. I was working my day time job as a high school library media specialist, I was working nights and weekends as a bartender (sometimes 40 hours a week), and I was nearing the end of masters degree. Looking back on that time, I really don’t know how I didn’t lose my mind. I did have a few panic attacks but otherwise came out alive. 🤗SENSE OF SECURITY🤗 ⁣ ⁣ Day 4 of #AloSelfReflect with reflection on sense of security and a grounding posture. ⁣ ⁣ My sense of security comes from my support system of family, friends, and my boyfriend. Anytime I am overly stressed about something I can go to any of these people and talk to them about it and they offer up solutions and support and help talk me through it which is so helpful bc I often just focus on the stress and they are able to look at the problem from a different perspective and offer up solutions. This arm balance was hard af and I definitely face planted once 🤦🏼‍♀️ ⁣ ⁣ Alright I’m really gonna call myself out here on this topic. I fail at keeping goals a lot. In fact I failed at a goal of mine this morning. For the month of November some of my goals are to wake up early everyday and do yoga in the morning...did I do that this morning? Nope? Am I still in bed right now? Yup. Why? Because I’m hungover and I hate myself for it. I won’t lie if I didn’t drink alcohol I could probably accomplish a lot more of my goals. Plus I’d be in better shape and feel a lot better too. I apparently couldn’t keep a straight face in this one 😂 ⁣ ⁣ When I think of the word “fears” I immediately think of spiders 🕷 I. Am. TERRIFIED! I’m not even sure how this phobia began. No scary memory with a spider stands out in my childhood I’ve just always been afraid of them. I don’t like the way they move. Every spring when I start seeing spiders again it’s awful. I always always cry. ❤️RELATIONSHIPS❤️ Relationships are hard. It’s a constant work at not being too selfish but also staying true to yourself and standing up for the things you want and believe in. I’m a Cancer ♋️ so when I fall in love I fall hard and offer that person my whole heart. I give and give and give. So, my reflection is that I need to learn to balance the give and take.
